Rafael Soldi

Rafael Soldi’s family migrated from the towns surrounding Genoa to Peru, before and after the war. Conflating both his Italian ancestry and his Peruvian cultural upbringing, his time at Bogliasco will be spent researching his family history, their clash with the Nazi occupation, and the role this European–South American duality plays in the construction of his identity as a queer person. He will make photographs, write, research, and make audio recordings.

La famiglia di Rafael Soldi emigrò in Perù da Genova e dai paesi limitrofi, prima e dopo la guerra. Intrecciando le sue origini italiane e la sua educazione culturale peruviana, Soldi dedicherà il suo tempo a Bogliasco alla ricerca della storia della sua familiare, in scontro con l'occupazione nazista, e al ruolo che questa dualità europeo-sudamericana gioca nella costruzione della sua identità di persona eccentrica. Intende scattare fotografie, svolgere ricerche, scrivere e fare registrazioni audio.
