Meret Schlegel will explore and focus as a dancer and performer on similarities and differences in the materiality of skin and paper. Both increasingly fragile, permeable, and vulnerable, they invite and stimulate touch. Schlegel will research how dance and movement can leave traces on paper. How can a dancing body in its three dimensions be transferred and “fixed” onto paper? Can the two dimensions of paper still represent time and the volatility of dance?
