Lysley Tenorio will work on his novel, which focuses on a Filipino family living in the US as TNT’s (Tagalog slang for “undocumented,” a term for the phrase “tago nang tago” which in English means “always hiding”). The novel examines how the American Dream has guided—and misguided—Filipinos throughout history, and where it might lead them in the future.

Lysley Tenorio continuerà la stesura del suo romanzo basato sulla storia di una famiglia filippina che vive negli Stati Uniti senza documenti come TNT’s (derivato da Tagalog, acronimo di “tago nang tago” che significa “sempre nascosto”). Il romanzo approfondisce come il sogno americano abbia influenzato, o mal influenzato, i filippini nel corso della storia e dove questo potrebbe portarli in futuro.
