Elisa Prete

In the Sixties art scene, the new avant-gardes found attention and support in the activity of private art galleries, which became a real space of experimentation and confrontation for pioneering research. Elisa Prete will work on an essay about the international relationships of Ariete Gallery in Milan, which mainly turned its attention to the European and American contemporary art scene. In particular, she will study the active cooperation established with American dealers and galleries, art critics and museum directors for promoting the knowledge of Italian art and its collection in the U.S.A. market.
