Azza Abo Rebieh

Azza Abo Rebieh arrives from the American Academy in Rome to complete her Artist Protection Fund Fellowship residency. Following her last exhibition, in October 2019 (392 Rmeil 393, Beirut, Lebanon)—where she explored combining painting with tulle and thread on canvas—her Bogliasco project will be a continuation of this exportation and technique. Azza will grow this concept through the inspiration she receives in the region. “Genoa is a historical and lively place I am thrilled to visit and will express my feelings towards it in an art piece”.

Azza Abo Rebieh arriva a Bogliasco dopo essere stata all'Accademia Americana di Roma per completare la sua residenza Artist Protection Fund. Dopo la sua ultima mostra nell'ottobre 2019 ( 392 Rmeil 393, Beirut, Libano) —nella quale ha sperimentato l'esecuzione di opere nate dalla combinazione di pittura e altri materiali, quali il tulle e i fili sulla tela —a Bogliasco continuerà a lavorare ulteriormente con questa tecnica. Azza svilupperà questo concetto grazie all'ispirazione dei luoghi. "Genova è un luogo storico e vivo, sono molto contenta di poterla visitare ed esprimerò i sentimenti che susciterà con un'opera dˈarte."
