Alf Löhr

Alf Löhr will use his time to explore the unique multi-layered architecture in Genoa in order to make a number of works about the relationship between seeing, translating and communicating.  Using photography, abstract paintings and painted pieces of fabric, Löhr intends for the participants to interact with the piece. The anticipated series of works hopes to draw on the atmosphere of contrast between the harsh winter storms and the smooth idyllic setting of the Bogliasco Foundation on the Italian Riviera.

Alf Löhr utilizzerà il tempo a disposizione per osservare l’unicità dell’architettura genovese fatta di livelli sovrapposti, questo al fine di produrre una serie di opere incentrate sulla relazione tra il vedere, il tradurre e il comunicare. Utilizzando la fotografia, la pittura astratta e pezzi di stoffa dipinta, intende far interagire il pubblico con l’opera d’arte stessa. Questa serie di lavori vuole inoltre focalizzare l’attenzione sul contrasto tra le intense tempeste invernali e la tranquillità della sede della Fondazione Bogliasco in Riviera.
