Donald Crockett (BF '07, '13) - 'Blue Earth' for orchestra released on BMOP/sound

Donald Crockett worked on a substantial re-write of his 2002 orchestral work, Blue Earth, during his Fall 2013 residency in November-December. Blue Earth (2002/rev2013) was subsequently performed by Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Gil Rose, conductor, in March 2014 at Jordan Hall in Boston, and recently released on BMOP/sound as part of an all-Crockett orchestral disc. In addition to Blue Earth, the recording also includes the concert opener Wedge (1990) and the Viola Concerto (2012) with soloist Kate Vincent, also in residence at the Study Center for a week in December 2013.
