In 2007, the Bogliasco Foundation held a number of special events, both in Italy and New York. Among them was an eight day spring tour of Liguria organized by Jane Garmey and Mitchell Wolfson to benefit the Bogliasco Foundation and the Wolfsonian museum. A highlight of the trip was a festive dinner at the Study Center’s Villa dei Pini, when guests had the opportunity to dine with resident Bogliasco Fellows. In October, the Foundation held a dinner in the VIP Green Room of the New York State Theater with guest of honor Bogliasco Fellow Richard Danielpour to celebrate the New York City Opera premier of his opera Margaret Garner. In November, Foundation Trustee Gabriella De Ferrari held a cocktail party in her beautiful Tribeca loft for Foundation friends and supporters. Please click here for images of these events. The next issue of BF News should arrive in your inbox in May and will include information about some of the recent awards, milestones and accomplishments of our Fellows. I encourage our Fellows to be in touch with us to share such good news for inclusion in this next issue. Last, but certainly most important, are my sincere personal thanks to all of you who have contributed to the Bogliasco Foundation this past year, through both your financial generosity and your gifts of time and expertise. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all you have done, and continue to do, to help us ensure that the Bogliasco Foundation maintains its mission, supporting future generations of artists and scholars. I wish you and your loved ones a very happy and healthy 2008. Warm regards,
James S. Harrison
