Launch of Russian translation of Vladimir Alexandrov's (BF '16) book 'THE BLACK RUSSIAN'

On December 13 at Dostoevsky Library in Moscow, Vladimir Alexandrov (BF '16) will give a talk and do a signing in connection with the publication of the Russian translation of his book "The Black Russian." This is a biography of the remarkable son of former slaves in Mississippi who became a multi-millionaire impresario in tsarist Moscow and the "Sultan of Jazz" in Constantinople. Frederick Bruce Thomas (1872-1928) was almost entirely forgotten until Alexandrov's book returned him to public memory.
