Micaela Latini, La stella e la meteoria. Goethe e Lenz Questo articolo intende analizzare i collegamenti, le affinità e le divergenze tra il romanzo epistolare di J.M.R Lenz, Der Waldbruder (1776), e i Dolori del giovane Werther di Goethe (1774). L’articolo individua inoltre una serie di parralelismi tra la vita di Lenz (in particolare il suo controverso rapporto di amicizia con Goethe) e le sue opere. Daquesta prospettiva il romanzo di Lenz Der Waldbruder non deve essere considerato solo comeun pendant letterario dei Leiden des jungen Werthers ma anche come una critica indiretta delle visioni letterarie di Goethe. In opposizione alla prospettiva narrativa del Werther, la dimensione multispospettica del romanzo epistolare Der Waldbruder evidenzia in modo metatestuale il fallimento della comunicazione nel mondo della “Deutsche Misere.”
The aim of this paper is to investigate the connections, the affinities and divergences, between J.M.R. Lenz’s brief novel Der Waldbruder (1776), and Goethe’s Die Leiden des jungen Werther (1774). The paper also deals with crossreferences between Lenz's life (in particular, his difficult and ambivalent friendship with Goethe) and his works. From this perspective Lenz’s novel Der Waldbruder is not only to be regarded as a literary pendant to Die Leiden des jungen Werthers, but also as an indirect criticism of Goethe’s literary views. As opposed to the stable narrative perspective found in Werther, the multiple perspectives of the epistolary novel Der Waldbruder metatextually evidences the failure of communication in the world of "Deutsche Misere".
